About Taprobana

Hands were washed. Spices, some dried years in advance were gathered by hand and brought to the stone—each chosen intuitively, depending on how the women felt. This was Sukku. More than a blend, it was a knowing. A sacred pause.

Sukku was thus born in Ceylon, where our family home sat nestled in land that cradled the world’s finest spices. In our lineage, Sukku was a symbol of care, wisdom, and heritage. Each blend was an heirloom—passed from one woman to another, a silent promise of nourishment and connection.

Now, in our third generation, we bring sukku to the world.

Each blend is an ode to the craftsmanship of centuries past.
